1952

Founder, Shigetoshi Okauchi, established KYORITSU CHEMICAL-CHECK Lab., as a sole proprietorship and started business to manufacture “pH Test Foils”, aiming to spread “simple water analyzer” that does not require complicated system, apparatus, or operation to use.

1959

Became incorporated.

1973

Released “Ion Selective Test Paper” and “PACKTEST”.
They were widely accepted among various industries and educational organization.

1974

Released high precision rapid water analyzer incorporating photoelectric photometer.

1977

Released Lambda-1000, which simplified photoelectric photometer with higher operability. Released Water Analysis Set for Total Cyanide, which has been widely used among industrial wastewater management industry.

1980

Kanji Minami became President (later he changed his family name to Okauchi)

2001

Instead of puncturing a hole to open the aperture of PACKTEST, pulling out the line is introduced.

2004

Relased portable single parameter water analyzer “Digital PACKTEST” to quantify PACKTEST reading.

2006

Digital Water Analyzer with multiple parameter “Lambda-9000” which came with improved functionality, operability, convenience, and color LCD screen is developed.

Digital PACKTEST-Multi with similar operating method as Lambda-9000 is developed.

2008

Joint development with GL Science Inc., PACKTEST Lead is released.

2011

Kanji Okauchi, was awarded for “2011 Technical Achievement Award” by The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry, in Development of Advancement-oriented Simplified Analysis Method and Application Development to its Practical Analysis.

2013

Shuntaro Okauchi became President.

2017

Established factory in Yokohama.

2020

Main function of Head Office relocated to Midori-ku, Kanagawa (Head Office).

2021

Factory relocated to Midori-ku, Yokohama (Yokohama Creation Center).
